MaryAnn Cortez is a published author actively involved in a number of writing groups, who regularly pursues continuing education as a writer for children. She was awarded the SCBWI 2023 Believe grant. Her  character driven, culturally themed stories are inspired by personal experiences, and her goal is to bring these stories to communities where they will inspire inclusiveness and encourage curiosity.
