Laura Sorrese Lefkow earned her B.A. in English Literature from SUNY Binghamton and her M.A. in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is now a high school English teacher, and has also taught Creative Writing and Journalism electives to high school students and Creative Writing to elementary students. Additionally, she teaches a college level writing class through SUNY New Paltz as part of a high school extension program.
