Carmela Martino has an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College and has published two novels for children – ROSA, SOLA (Candlewick Press) and PLAYING BY HEART (Vinspire Publishing). Her poetry and short stories have been published in numerous magazines, newspapers, and anthologies, and she has over twenty years experience teaching writing classes for both adults and children.
