ANGELA VON WERDER
Genre(s): Adult Religious Nonfiction
Agent: Anjanette Barr
Angela is a Change Management Specialist with a Conflict Resolution Diploma (Negotiation Specialization) from the Justice Institute of BC; and an accredited Recovery Coach with additional coaching training from TR Peak Performance coaching and Micheal Neill’s ‘Inside Out’ coaching programs. She has written executive correspondence, marketing and promotional materials, website content, blogs, reports and more recently grant proposals to promote youth mental health.
With over three decades of sobriety and working with people in a variety of recovery settings, Angela has found the Holy Bible to be the most underused resource for anyone seeking recovery. Her first book, In Step: Daily Reflections for Recovering Catholics and the companion volume, The Twelve Steps Through the Bible Step Writing Guide, were written to build a bridge of understanding between the principles and practices of Twelve Step programs and their Scriptural origin.
Her favourite authors include Neal Stephenson, Barry Unsworth, Donna Tartt, Julia Cameron and Lisa Cron. She lives in the Pacific Northwest where she enjoys hiking, swimming and having a good conversation. Her favourite secular quote is by Arthur Ashe, “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
